What Is Included in a Supply-Only Conservatory Roof Kit?

Understand roof kit quotations, component schedules and site responsibilities before ordering a supply-only conservatory roof.

Start with the component schedule

A supply-only conservatory roof kit is ordered for an agreed design. The important document is the written component schedule: it establishes what is supplied for your project. A product photograph shows a completed building, so it should never be treated as a list of included parts. Ask for the roof drawing and schedule together, and check that their revision numbers agree.

Separate the roof from the building work

List the tasks your installer will undertake: removing the old roof, checking the supporting structure, preparing wall connections, fitting the kit and completing finishes. Ask who supplies flashings, sealants, insulation interfaces and internal finishes. These items vary with the system and quotation. Confirm waste removal and weather protection separately rather than assuming they arrive with the roof.

Compare equivalent specifications

Compare a Classic glass roof, an Ultraroof tiled system and a Livinroof hybrid roof against the same project brief. Glass area, roof shape and finish affect the scope, so the lowest headline total may represent a different design. Record your preferred colour, glazing layout and dimensions before requesting prices. Keep optional extras in a separate column to make quotations easier to compare.

Before accepting the quotation

Check the delivery address, unloading arrangements, drawing approval process and estimated lead time. If any part of the specification is unclear, resolve it in writing before placing the order. Your installer should confirm that the selected roof suits the structure and site conditions; an online product selection cannot establish this. Use the product pages below to shortlist the system, then request a quotation with photographs and a dimensioned sketch.
